I offer a full complement of research services customized to suit your needs. Whether you want to find information about a family unit or want to discover more about a specific ancestor, I can provide you with professional assistance. I provide research services utilizing subscription services, online archives, microfilm, research libraries, record repositories and archives. You will be provided with a comprehensive and easy to understand report that will include copies of any documents found pertaining to your ancestors, as well as negative results. Multiple generation work will also include a Gedcom file in addition to the research report. You will receive everything electronically via email. Each research report will contain:

  Objectives and goals - what the client hired me to find

  Resources Reviewed - A list of all resources utilized for the project including negative findings

  List of source documents found and copies of primary source documents

  Evaluation of documents

  Recommendations for further research

  Document Summary

  Document translation (for an additional charge)

You can ask for a specific document (such as a marriage) for an ancestor, or something broader such as "all children with Pereira as the father's surname in [parish]." I charge $20 per document or $25 per hour. Please include what you do know about the ancestor in question when you email me. 

If you want to look in an index first to see what parent's names are listed, be sure to check out Amazon.com for books such as Madalena do Mar Baptisms: 1680-1725. This can save you time and money in the long run, and I can still pull up the original document and create a translation or an abstract for you.
